Battle Plan of Arbela

Map plan of the Battle of Arbela.  Macedonian heavy-armed foot soldiers and cavalry, light-armed foot soldiers, archers and javelin throwers.  Where Alexander the Great's Macedonian soldiers beat the Persians under Darius III.  Modern historians refer to this battle as the Battle of Gaugamela.  As a result of this battle, Alexander the Great won half of ancient Persia.
