Karl Heinrich Marx was born on May 5, 1818, in Trier, Prussia (modern Germany). Marx moved to London, England, in 1849, and lived there for the rest of his life. Marx is buried in London's Highgate Cemetery. Karl Marx, along with Friedrich Engels, wrote The Communist Manifesto. Marx famously stated: "The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles."
