This single sheet provides the standard elements of a
professional book review. Space is provided for the book's
standard citation (using MLA or APA formatting). Students are
asked to provide brief information about the author, followed by
a longer synopsis (summary) of the text, followed by an even
longer critique of the text. This book report format is an
excellent way to introduce junior and senior high school
students to the type of book report they will be asked to write
at the university level.
