"Date of Infamy" Speech by Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1941.

FDR gave this "Date of Infamy" speech on December 8, 1941, the day after the Japanese launched a surprise attack on the United States Navy Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

After delivering this speech in a Joint Address to Congress, the United States voted to declare war on the Empire of Japan.
