Clan—A close-knit group, often family-based, sharing common interests or heritage. 7. Cynical—Distrustful of others' motives; believing people act out of self-interest. 8. Impiety—Lack of respect for religion or sacred things; irreverence. 9. Omission—Something left out, excluded, or neglected. 10. Opportunity—A favorable chance for progress or success. 11. Perjure—To lie under oath, committing a crime by giving false testimony. 12. Perpetrator—A person who commits a harmful, illegal, or immoral act. 13. Prosaic—Dull, ordinary, or lacking poetic beauty. 14. Reluctance—Unwillingness or hesitation to do something. 15. Treachery—Betrayal of trust; deceitful or traitorous behavior. |
