John Adams (30 October 1735-4 July 1826) , the second president of the United States (1797-1801), made significant contributions to American history in various capacities throughout his life.

American Revolution: Adams was a key figure in the American Revolution. He played a crucial role in advocating for American independence and helped draft the Declaration of Independence alongside Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and others.
