|Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was
signed into law by U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson on August 6, 1965.
This law was created to enforce the Fifteenth Amendment of the United
States Constitution. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 banned such
