This is a general list of the cultures (tribes) that are native to North America.

Students are always asking..."What Native American tribe does Jacob Black from Twilight belong to?"

In the series of Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer, there is a Native American character called Jacob "Jake" Black (played by actor Taylor Lautner in the movies). He belongs to the Quileute people (or tribe), which is known for its unique language. The Quileute were left with only about 90 people after a battle in 1850 against Chief Seattle and the Suquamish tribe. Today, the Quileute number approximately 750. And no...they are not werewolves. To learn more about the fascinating Quileute people, check out their official website.
