The camp of the Israelites in the wilderness.
 
 
This drawing illustrates the plan for the Israelite camp in the wilderness, under the leadership of Moses. The tribe of Asher allegedly numbered 45,500; Dan, 62,700; Naphthali (or Naphtali), 53,400; Benjamin, 35,400; etc. The tabernacle, with Aaron (the brother of Moses) serving as high priest, was located in the center of the encampment.
