Following the Wars of the Roses, England's Tudor dynasty (a family originally based in Wales) came to power in 1485 under King Henry VII.  The dynasty ended in 1603 with the death of Henry VII's granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth I. Click here to enlarge this image.
