Gravesite of American actress Hattie McDaniel in Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Los Angeles, California. Hattie McDaniel was the first African-American to win an Academy Award. McDaniel won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Mammy in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind.
